THE GENEROSITY Fund

Last updated June 2023

Purpose

The Generosity Fund exists to provide financial support to people who regularly worship at The Well and to support other Churches who find themselves struggling financially.

The Well recognises that the current cost of living crisis can have far reaching impacts and as a church family we want to stand alongside each other and provide practical support where that can help meet immediate needs. In this uncertain season, The Well is responding to our members’ requests to be able to contribute and support each other financially. The Generosity Fund .

Forming part of The Well’s annual giving budget, the leadership team will consider each request for financial assistance, which will be weighed on its own merit on a case-by-case basis. We will let people know directly if they are to receive funds, and the frequency and duration of those gifts.

Financial gifts towards the Generosity Fund are welcome, in addition to the amount allocated in the budget. The Well is enabled, as per its Constitution and charity objectives, to re-allocate the funds if we are given more than we can distribute in the short-term to this stated need.

Who is this aimed at?

This fund exists to provide financial help for the regular worshipping church family of The Well Church Sheffield who find themselves in a season of particular need. The Well recognises the many needs outside of this church family, and where you are able to be part of God’s plan for meeting that need we encourage you to do so. The Well already operates a ‘Well Beyond’ fund to give away finance, support and prayer beyond our church family.

What kind of support is offered?

Financial support will be offered as a one-off, or in regular payments for a defined period of time. If circumstances change or are prolonged, this can be reviewed by The Well team.
