Sunday 4th April 2021 - Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday

A few ideas for Easter celebrations as a family:

Create an Easter garden

Traditionally this can be made using stones, making a cross out of twigs, with grass or moss built into a garden tray:

But an Easter garden can also be recreated with Lego (or other construction toys):

It doesn’t really matter what you use to create your Easter garden, the key thing is to seize the opportunity to share the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection with your children, so spend time talking about the events of Easter week and how the tomb couldn’t hold Jesus and why God sacrificed His Son for all of us.

Colour an Easter bookmark

Print the bookmark outlines and colour in.  Why not create an extra one to give to a friend or neighbour too?

Sweetie Prayers

Usually known as the “Jelly Bean Prayer”, this can be used with multi-coloured sweets* of your choice!  Simply eat the corresponding colour as you prayerfully think about each line of the prayer.

Red is for the blood He gave. Green is for the grass He made. Yellow is for the sun so bright. Orange is for the edge of night. Black is for the sins we made. White is for the grace He gave. Purple is for His hour of.png
