… But we do not go alone. Deeper is not just a course, it is a community of people committed to sharing the journey together. We share time and hopes and risks and growth and questions and jokes and meals and love.
DEEPER adventure
As we fall in love with God, we’re pulled into the unfolding story of his kingdom coming here on earth as it is in heaven. We experience what that could mean – for our churches, streets, friends, and for the unique gifts and callings that each of us carry.
OK, WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY DO AND WHEN DO YOU ACTUALLY DO IT?
Deeper 24/25 will run Mondays 9am-5pm & Thursdays 7-9pm in term time from mid September 2024 to late June 2025, based at The Well Sheffield.
Monday daytimes are a delicious combination of:
Worship & prayer as we seek to glorify God and enjoy him forever;
Biblical teaching, practical training, and relational processing around all areas of theology and discipleship, with input from team at The Well, from other churches, and from various guest speakers/missionaries/legends;
Practical mission and evangelism, getting out of the comfort zone and into the gospel/street/serving/risk/miracle/joy zone!
Thursday Evenings
These are given over to The Prayer Meeting, hosted by DEEPER and open to anyone from The Well and beyond. We are committed to journeying into unified, intercessory prayer for the needs of our city and nation, and for the great move of God which will be their great answer.
Over the course of the year there will also be a Retreat, a Father Heart/Encounter weekend, and a (optional, self-funded) mission trip.
DEEPER is not aimed at academic accreditation and there are no formal assignments. There is a 66-book required reading list (hint: it’s the Bible).
GREAT! WHO CAN DO IT AND WHAT DOES IT COST?
DEEPER is for anyone aged 18+ who wants to go on a deeper journey of discipleship, community, and adventure. You do not have to be part of The Well.
We welcome applications from people of any background, ability and nationality; and since the Kingdom has no upper age limit, nor does Deeper.
The cost is £1,500 for the year, which does not include accommodation or food, except for certain shared meals. Fees are due by the commencement of the school, though payment plans can be discussed if necessary. If you are not sure that you can cover the fees, please still apply as in some cases there may be bursaries available by arrangement. Regarding visas, in some cases The Well may be able to issue a certificate of sponsorship; please get in touch to discuss.
Can I also Intern at The Well?
Yes please! DEEPER students who are members of The Well (even if only for the DEEPER year) are warmly invited to discuss serving/learning/burning in one or more of the following areas:
Worship (can include helping write/record/produce songs)
Kids
Youth
Church-planting
Media
Production
… Or talk to us if you have another idea!

TOWAN GREENE - Deeper Leader
Towan is married to Becky and they have two very nice children. Towan has a burning passion for Jesus. He wants to learn how to walk by the Spirit of God and the Word of God together, knowing Jesus and making him known. He has a background in Biblical Studies and incarnational mission in a deprived urban estate.
Towan has been significantly shaped and marked by times of training and equipping both in Sheffield and with Iris Ministries in Mozambique. His heart is to oversee training which is Spirit-filled, Bible-based, life-giving, practical, and transformative.
He loves worshipping, song-writing, football and cereal…
NICK & MARJORIE ALLAN
Nick & Marjorie Allan, The Well Ministers, have themselves taken some radical journeys with God and are passionate about empowering people to truly grasp who God is and who we are in Him. As a couple they are both very involved in the life of Deeper with regular teaching slots on our core topics such as Father Heart and identity and key themes and participate in some of the mission trips.
